Deputies stand in for MCC deputy

30/ 8/2007

MIDDLETON Cricket Club will field deputy professionals in their last three matches of the Central Lancashire League season.

The club appointed Brendon Reddy as long-time deputy early in the season when Arno Jacobs joined Leicestershire.

But Reddy has now left to prepare for the new season in his native South Africa.

His replacement for Sunday's match at Littleborough, and at Oldham on 8 September, will be former Oldham amateur and professional Martin Smith.

For the final game of the season, against Radcliffe at Towncroft, on 9 September, Middleton will field Justin Kreusch who is pro for Blackpool.
