THE inaugural Tandle Hill Trot was held in aid of the St John's CE (Thornham) Church Roof Fund.

A total of 66 runners completed the 6.25 km course.

The winner was Wajib Ali of Rochdale Harriers in a time of 20 mins 53 secs.

The event raised about £400 for the fund.

Middleton Harriers helped to organise the event which was sponsored by AK Associates and The Hopwood Arms.
