Shoot-out win sees Lads into final

MIDDLETON Lads under sevens are through to the Premier Cup final which will be played on Hyde United's ground in May.

They came up against a resolute side in Delamere whose keeper pulled off save after save.

The semi-final was decided on the aggregate scores of A and B teams.

Lads' A team did well but conceded a late goal.

The B team went all out to redress the balance, but only five minutes were left when Jack Dance hit the roof of the net from a freekick.

The regulation penalties ended with each side having scored three, and so it went to sudden death kicks.

Sean Broadhurst saved Delamere's third, player of the match Jordan Daray scored, and Lads were through.
