Embassy feel at home at House

27/12/2006

DARTS: EMBASSY made it a Moston League double down at the Old House, with Ken Upton taking the deciding leg in a 4-3 victory and 'Rocket' Ronnie James winning the decisive crib game to take the match by the same score.

VASA unexpectedly dropped a couple of legs in their darts match at home to bottom team Wheatsheaf, but they still ran out comfortable winners to cement their place at the top of the table.

The crib match also ended with a 5-2 VASA win which took them into second place in the table.

Mowers Arms enjoyed two 5-2 away wins over Fox Inn.

John Downs and Kevin Moore were their top performers, while Jason DeBio played very well for Fox in winning his match.

Mowers remain top of the crib league going into the new year.

The next action in the Moston League will be their Inter League match against the Failsworth Premier League at the VASA Club on 2 January.

The best players from each league will go head to head over 11 legs for a place in the Log End Federation quarter-finals.
