Moonrakers get tough home draw

MIDDLETON have been handed the tough task of trying to end Heywood's enviable record in the John Willie Lees Wood Cup.

The Moonrakers will be at home in the first round against a club which has been in the last three finals and won the cup twice.

The full draw is:

Round one (to be played 3 June): Monton and Weaste v Unsworth; Middleton v Heywood; Ashton v Werneth; Milnrow v Royton; Littleborough v Oldham; Walsden v Norden; Clifton v Crompton; Radcliffe v Rochdale.

Round two (24 June): Clifton/Crompton v Littleborough/Oldham; Middleton/Heywood v Radcliffe/Rochdale; Ashton/Werneth v Monton and Weaste/Unsworth; Milnrow/Royton v Walsden/Norden.

Semi-finals (15 July): Ashton/Werneth/Milnrow/Royton v Milnrow/Royton/Walsden/Norden; Clifton/Crompton/L'boro/Oldham v Middleton/Heywood/Radcliffe/Rochdale.

The final will be played at Heywood on 5 August. All matches start at 1.30pm.
