Saints are tournament tops

DALE's six-a-side football tournament for girls, held by Hopwood Hall College and Football in the Community, came to a close at Spotland on Saturday.
The overall standard was outstanding with little to choose between most teams but St Mary's Primary School (Middleton) the eventual winners over Lowerplace.
RESULTS:
Group A: St Peters 1 Beech House 0, Lowerplace 0 Holy Family 1, St Peters 0 Lowerplace 4, Lowerplace 2 Beech House 0, Beech House 2 Holy Family 1, Holy Family 3 St Peters 0.
