Booth sparks Dynamos

IF Alkrington's recent progress was to be maintained it was important they took all the points from their game last Saturday.

Dynamos were quickest out of the blocks, and in the early stages of the game it seemed as though De La Salle would be completely overwhelmed.

It came as no surprise when Dynamos took the lead. Adam Ralphson fired home from just inside his opponents' area.

Dynamos were never going to be able to maintain the constant pressure and slowly but surely De La Salle worked their way back into the game, but any threat to Dynamos' goal was quickly dealt with.

Carl Agana and Gary Glynn always looked confident in the Alkrington defence.

The outstanding performer for Dynamos was Gavin Booth, the heart and engine room of the team. He controlled midfield with great authority.

On the stroke of half time Booth got himself on the scoresheet. He found the net with a low shot after moving onto a loose ball inside the area.

The second half was much of the same as Alkrington kept up the offensive.

With 15 minutes left an excellent cross from the industrious Michael Henson found the head of Gavin Booth who headed home.
