Best ever results for Harriers’ track stars

MOSTON and District Harriers had a successful time in the Greater Manchester County Track and Field Championships which were held at Longford Park, Stretford.
A small squad of athletes was sent to the championships and they all returned with new personal best times.
Jack Sutton (under 17s 800m) and David Horniman (under 17s 1,500m) won silver medals. Wereis Ibrahim claimed a bronze in the under 13 girls' 1,200m.
Jade Flynn contested one of the hardest races of the meeting and snatched close fought fourth place from girls one year her senior.
Nyal Flynn competed in his first major track competition. He was pipped on the line and pushed back into fourth place in a close fought under 11s 600m.
Stephen and Natasha Christie ran in the Gregg's Mile which was held at Heaton Park.
Stephen, a promising under 15 athlete, was the first boy home. Natasha, 10, was the second girl home.
