MIDDLETON Juniors under 14s took an early lead against Rochdale St Clement's in a Rochdale and Oldham Youth League match.
The scorer was Aaron Whitehouse.
A second goal came when Clayton Kilroy wove his way through the Rochdale defence.
Middleton looked comfortable for most of the first half but were unable to turn their domination into a bigger lead and Rochdale pulled one back against the run of play.
An equaliser followed and suddenly Juniors were on the back foot.
Juniors then showed fighting spirit with two stunning strikes from Shaun Ryder.
Rochdale claimed a late point-saver.
