NORTHEND Boys under 13s won the County Cup final by beating Stretford Victoria 5-2.

Max Harrop opened the scoring on 10 minutes, but Stretford equalised late in the first half. The match was virtually settled in the first five minutes of the second half as Harrop and Nathan Martin found the net.

Daniel Hudson and Greg Ham added further goals before Stretford managed a consolation second.

Northend will now represent Manchester County in the Tesco under 13s national cup.

MANCHESTER YFC under 15s faced their biggest test of the season when they met Boundary Park. Boundary had suffered only one defeat this season, and that was when they met Manchester in December.

They started well but failed to take the chances created. The deadlock was broken in the second half when Josh Parkinson met a corner cross from Sam Freakes to score with a looping header.

Manchester then took control and increased their lead when Freakes bent in a corner.

Player of the match was Ismet Akoya.
