Six is the count for Abacus

27/ 4/2006

ABACUS Media entertained Burnage Metro on the back of a 6-2 Lancashire and Cheshire League win over Oldham Albion.

Anthony Campbell opened the scoring in the fourth minute. He nodded the ball home after Tom Keogh's freekick had rebounded off the bar.

Burnage equalised on 30 minutes after a mix up in the Abacus defence, but within two minutes the hosts had restored their lead with a well taken goal from man of the match Mike Campbell.

Mark Stott made it 3-1 early in the second half, and Anthony Campbell claimed his second soon after to put the game beyond Metro.

Top scorer Nicky Bracken bagged the fifth with a clever chip over the keeper before Metro managed a late consolation.

MEDIA seconds beat St Margaret Mary's 6-4 at Bowlee. A hat-trick from man of the match Liam Sweeney and further strikes from Neil Jones, Simon Campbell and John Fox secured the points.
