Broadway boys mount comeback

ALKRINGTON Boys under 12s were beaten 4-2 away from home by Broadway Celtic.
Both teams were unbeaten going into the game and Alkrington enjoyed the better start, taking the lead after three minutes.
Heavy rain throughout the first half did nothing to stop the teams playing some good passing football with plenty of chances created. A fierce shot late in the half made it 2-0 to Alkrington.
Broadway made one change at half time, bringing on Jake Massey, and within five minutes he pulled a goal back and soon after levelled matters.
Massey went on to complete his hat-trick and give Broadway the lead, Jonny Muzangi scoring their fourth to complete the win late on.
After the game the Alkrington manager insisted he was unable to select a man of the match for Broadway as all the players had given their all.
