Middleton A too stong for B team

MIDDLETON Boys under 11s A were up against Middleton Boys under 11s B in the second round of the county cup over the weekend, this was a much anticipated tie as both teams had never played each other.

Middleton A started the stronger with some excellent passing moves and it wasn't long before they took the lead.

Jake Parker dominated the midfield for Middleton A while there was good work from Caleb Wilkinson for the B team.

Middleton A were just too strong and a hat-trick from Alex Gregory, two from Myers Nield, Jake Parker, and Daniel Ferris and a goal from Jack Cotterill made the final score 10-0 to the A team.

Player of the match for Middleton A was Jake Parker for his outstanding contribution to the game.

Meanwhile, Middleton girls under 14s were in action in the Oldham girls league, they beat Holingworth 6-1 to stay top in the league four goals from Candice and two from Lian Murphy were enough to take the points.
