Higgs in tip-top condition for Championships

CHRIS Higgs (Hopwood Hall Boxing Academy) Junior ABA Champion and four Nations Champion has boxed his way through to the national quarter finals of the NACYP British Championships.
Chris beat Dean Mills from Bridgewater ABC in a thrilling contest.
Both boxers gave 100 per cent but the superior skill and conditioning of Higgs proved to be the deciding factor.
The more experience Mills had no answer to the superb counterpunching from the academy student. Higgs received the nod from all three judges during the standing ovation by the crowd.
Additionally Craig O'Brian from North-Side ABC / Hopwood Academy received a walkover to the semi-final stage of the competition.
Craig is looking excellent during training and hopefully will bring another national title to his club and the academy.
