International hammered by sensation

BOXING sensation James Barker has added a top scalp to his impressive list of victories.

The 15-year-old, who trains at Hopwood College Boxing Academy, beat highly-rated West Ham fighter and England international B Morgan.

The West Ham club had struggled to find opponents for Morgan who last month featured in a Boxing News article as one to watch.

But the Northside club put Barker forward and the two met at Braunstone Workingmen's Club, Leicester, last Wednesday.

The Cardinal Langley student dominated from the off and delivered a three-punch combination which resulted in a standing count for the Londoner.

Barker didn't ease up and used his jab to set up attacks on head and body.

Morgan had no answer to the superior skills shown by Barker who was given the nod by all three judges.
