TWO players raced round the board in only 11 darts last week to equal the best of the season in the Middleton Monday League.

Eugene Goan did so by way of consolation as his Joiners' team lost 4-3 to Junction.

Benny Shades' super throw helped Gardeners (Sandy Lane) beat Old Cock 5-2.

The first 11-darter had come the previous week, from Junction's Ronnie Worrall.

Andy Slattery's 14-arrow game was the best last week in the Men's Thursday League.

His Kings Arms team won 6-1 for the second week running. This time it was Woodside WMC on the receiving end.

There were also wins for Cotton Tree, Boarshaw WMC and White House who visit the Kings tonight.

Alkrington make the short trip to play Chadderton in a Lancashire GMC Super League Division Five match on Sunday.

The match is at the Hare and Hounds, Block Lane, start 12.30pm.

The most emphatic wins in the Middleton Ladies' League last week came from Jolly Carter and Kings Arms A who earned 6-1 wins over Joiners and Black Bull respectively.

Millbeck enjoyed a 5-2 success at Woodman in a Division Two match.
