Junior Football

YOU are never too young to learn. And, with the help of Heywood's Soccer World Football Coaching Centre, children of all ages can improve their footballing skills.

The centre now has places available for four to six year olds with classes held on Saturdays from 9-10am. The emphasis is on fun, confidence-building, communication skills, balance and agility, which are all built around football.

The aim is to let every child have the ball at their feet for as long as possible and at least for half of each session.

The centre has been based at Heywood for four years, it is run by qualified coaches and focuses on the needs of the child. They also have direct links with Manchester City's Youth Coaching Centre.

Saturday sessions are as follows: Four to six years, 9-10am in the sports centre. Seven to 15 years 10am-noon on the astroturf.
