ALKRINGTON are champions of the Greater Manchester Super Darts League Division Two.
The team based at the Apple and Pear pipped Rochdale Borough by one point following their 5-2 win over Walkden.
Rochdale's 4-3 victory over Chadderton was not enough for them.
The teams went into their last matches level on points. Alkrington were first to the oche and the highlight of their success was the performance of Mark Holden who averaged 76.91.
Mick Milner and Chris Jacques, who hit a 180, averaged 73.13.
The other winners were Carl Langley and Steve Service whose 91 finish on the bulls-eye saw him take the last set.
Alkrington will go looking for further success on 25 September when they play in the five-a-side knockout and individual championships which will be staged in Oldham.
