COLLYHURST and Moston star Michael Jennings is the new British welterweight title holder.
He went for glory at Bolton Stadium on Saturday night and flattened Jimmy Vincent in just over two minutes of the first round.
Stablemate Tony Doherty was also on the Amir Khan undercard, but his fight with Ernie Smith was halted in round two when the stadium had to be evacuated due to a "red alert."
Northside's Craig Watson made it three wins in a row as a pro when he beat Billy Smith on points.
