Scott steers Colts to MEN win

TWO Central Lancashire League teams were in action on Sunday and both came out on top.

The Colts enjoyed a thrilling last-over win in the MEN Trophy against the Manchester Association at Unsworth.

Middleton's Scott Stanworth (59) top-scored for the CLL and was named man of the match.

Heywood's Josh Webb gave him good support with a well-crafted 40.

The Colts have now won two of their three group matches.

They travel to Furness on 14 August to take on the North Lancashire and Cumbria League.

The CLL beat the Bolton League by 55 runs in a second elevens match at Crompton.

Batting first CLL posted 163 for nine. Middleton's Anthony Graham led the way with an unbeaten 43.

The Bolton League were bowled out for 108. Royton's Dave Clarke took four for 10 in 4.4 overs.
