International call for Claire

CLAIRE McKenna, of Alkrington, who competes for Horwich RMI Harriers, has finally achieved her ambition.
She has been chosen to run for Northern Ireland in the Snowdon International fell race on 23 July.
Her selection followed a brilliant second place in a trial event held in Donard Forest, Northern Ireland.
Claire is now in training for the Snowdon race which covers 10 miles and has 3,300ft of climbing. It is rated one of the toughest races on the calendar.
She has her sights set on a place in the Northern Ireland team for the World Mountain Trophy race which this year will be held in New Zealand.
