Flightnight gold for Crolla

MOSTON'S Anthony Crolla was in a group of young north west boxers given a boost by Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan as they flew out to compete in a tournament in Chemnitz, Germany.
Khan met the six fighters who were the UK's only representatives in the tournament sponsored by Lufthansa.
Crolla proved top fighter in the tournament.
The lad from Hopwood Hall Academy and Fox ABC took the gold medal and was named as the best technical boxer of the tournament.
He started with a win over a Swiss opponent. In a semi-final he beat Alexis Leyschin to become the only fighter to beat a Russian in the event.
Crolla took the title by beating Germany's Marco Labarda in the final.
