ROCHDALE Junior Netball Club's under 12's have had a busy time of it.
Their Black team just missed out on a successful defence of their Division One title while the Red team enjoyed a successful first season in Division Two.
The club, sponsored by Groundwork Landscapes, entered a team in the Ball Hall league in Oldham for the first time and took on girls aged between 14 and 16.
They got through to the play-offs but were knocked out in the semi-finals.
The team was also entered in a knockout at the Ball Hall, in their own age group. They beat Failsworth in a close contest to become champions.
Leanne Murphy, who attends Middleton Technical College, and Louise Brown, of Oulder Hill High School are both through to the final selection process for the Greater Manchester County squad trials which will be held in September, while seven new girls have been added to the Rochdale squad following recent trials.
