Media extend unbeaten run

ABACUS Media defended a 16-match unbeaten run when they entertained Eagle at Bowlee last Saturday.

They opened the scoring through Tom Keogh after great work by striker Anthony Campbell.

Man of the match Keogh then turned provider as he cleverly set up Anthony Campbell to thunder home from close range.

It became 3-0 when Mark Stott scored the best goal of the game. He threaded his way past four Eagle defenders before hammering a sweet shot wide of the diving keeper.

Early in the second half the visitors had a chance to reduce the deficit, but Martin Byrne made a great save.

Abacus seconds whipped Norris Villa 6-1 in a midweek match.

Liam Sweeney (2), Nicky Bracken (3) and Mike Campbell claimed the goals.

Man of the match was Sam Brown.
