AFC Blackley completed the first part of a potential double last weekend when they beat Sacred Heart 3-2 in the final of the Air Miles Manchester League's Murray Trophy played at Elton Vale FC.

Blackley started the stronger and took the lead within 10 minutes when Harris accepted a simple tap-in chance.

Chances were at a premium, but Hearts caught out the Blackley defence and scored twice before the break.

The second half continued in the same vein and it looked like the game would end in a win for the Rochdale team, but with seconds remaining a 25-yard freekick from Cook found its way into the net and forced extra time.

Blackley secured the cup with a match-winning effort from Lockett.

The second part of the double should be decided this week, as Blackley need only a draw in their final game to win the Air Miles Manchester League Division One title.
