A hole new game in name of charity

RADIO presenter Warren Moore, from Key 103fm, was on hand to tee off an inaugural charity golf day held at Manchester Golf Club last Friday.

Sponsored by Carshop Middleton the event was designed to raise valuable income for the Boys and Girls Welfare Society.

The overall winners were the sponsors, with Manchester Golf Club teams second and third.

The event raised £2,000 for the charity and Helen Williams of Carshop Middleton said: "It's great news to have raised so much money on our first ever golf day. Hopefully next year we can go one better."
