Six players do the trick for Juniors

MIDDLETON Juniors under 11s recorded a 23-0 win over Middleton Rangers.

Credit to Rangers who still managed to maintain amazing spirit and tried hard throughout.

Six players went home having scored hat-tricks.

They were Tom McCarthy, Simon Dewar, Jack Coffey, Adam Harkin, Johnathan Fogerty and Kane Joyce.

Also on the scoresheet were Callum Corneille (2), James Vernon, Curtis Jones, and Dale Wilkins.

Ryan Cobain dominated midfield, while Gareth Saxon was excellent on the wing.

Adam Harkin was named as player of the match.

Juniors are looking to strengthen the squad for next season. Players should have been born between 1.9.93 and 31.8.94. Those interested should ring 07979 802490.

  • MIDDLETON Boys under 15s maintained their good form when they met Boundary Park in a semi-final of the Manchester League Cup.

The deadlock was broken in extra time and Middleton won 3-1.
