Hot-shot Joyce bags all seven for Celtic

JOYCE claimed all the goals as Langley Celtic beat Royal British Legion 7-0 in a Middleton Sunday League Premier Division match last weekend.

Langley Rangers, 17-goal scorers in their previous match, banged in another eight with only one in reply from Carters Rhodes.

Mathews (2), Morris (2), Munson, Hudson, Hayes and Clarkin hit the net for Rangers. Coombes bagged the lone reply.

Radclyffe Arms shared six goals with Alkrington Dynamos. Giblin (2) and Lyons netted for the home team. Farrell (2) and Johnson earned Dynamos a point.

Hebers slipped into deeper trouble at the wrong end of Division One when they went down 3-2 to Crown Inn. Hoolikan, Gill and Cannon scored for second-placed Crown. Ilroy and Worsley kept Hebers in the game.

Vayro claimed a couple for Old Cock Inn who were 3-1 away winners over Cardinal Villa.

Hayward and Carulli were on target for Lamb Inn but their goals were far from enough to give Lamb a first point of the season. Lomas and Edwards both bagged a couple as VASA ran in six goals in the Division Two clash.

Hebers Wincanton edged The Charlestown 2-1.

The match between Blackley Rangers and Red Barn was abandoned due to a player breaking a leg.
