MANCHESTER YFC under 14s avenged a recent defeat at the hands of Radcliffe Juniors when they beat them 4-1 in a Bury and Radcliffe League cup tie on Sunday.
Manchester had an early chance when Sam Freakes fed Barry Davies, but the striker shot wide.
It wasn't long before the first goal was chalked up. Jake Hardicre played a great ball to Barry Foster who slipped his marker and rounded the goalkeeper to score.
There was a chance to make it 2-0 when Hardicre was brought down in the box, but Freakes blasted the spot-kick wide.
Freakes then made up for his miss when he squared the ball for Osahon Osawe to hit a shot which was deflected into the net.
Tom Cullen pulled one back for Radcliffe, but the second half was mainly Manchester.
Elliot Trelkeld in the Radcliffe goal made a great save to keep out a header from Ismet Akoya, but Akoya lashed home the rebound.
It became 4-1 when Freakes found Akoya who poked home his second.
Osawe was named player of the match.
