Harris goal sets Juniors off on the way to deserved victory

MIDDLETON Juniors under 10s found it difficult to break down the Littleborough defence and needed the help of a deflection from a Matthew Harris shot to beat the excellent keeper.

Dylan Walker, Callum Harkin, Jake Coe and William Travis were all denied by good saves.

Andy Mitchell and Reece Reynolds were in control at the back for Middleton.

Chances came and went for Middleton until Reece Evitt-Healy and Danny Allat added to the scoreline to give Middleton a deserved 3-0 triumph.

Juniors under nines recovered from a two-goal deficit to beat Littleborough 4-3.

Connor Wilson got the winner to add to his impressive tally and Liam Duplex scored an outstanding hat-trick with long-range efforts.

Arron Cox and Robbie Wynn gave their regular high-class performances at the back.

Robbie Wynn was named player of the match for Middleton.

  • MIDDLETON Boys' under 12s got back to winning ways with a convincing show against Dukinfield. They led through Niall Hogan's shot into the roof of the net before Alex Walker doubled the score.

Andy Parfitt scored the third and Jack Conway finished off the scoring.

Callum Jackson was named player of the match.
