LAKE Garage celebrates 50 years in business by becoming sponsors of the Central Lancashire Cricket League.
The deal is for three years, but financial details have not been revealed.
The Garage, in Littleborough is a family business and Dave Rushton, a former player with Littleborough and Walsden, said: "I have always played cricket and hope this deal will be of benefit to the league."
CLL chairman Howard Dronsfield said: "This is the first sponsorship of the league for a number of years. It is a feather in our cap and we have actually got a sponsor who has played in the league and sponsors a league club.
"We feel the amount of money involved doesn't need to be mentioned. It will be put into the league account so we can hopefully not have to rely on fines to keep up our bank balance.
"That is not to say we will be going soft on fines."
