Own goal disaster

AN OWN goal scored in the last minute spelled defeat for Middleton Colts under eights.
They took on Woodbank and gave a superb first-half performance.
Jordan Burton put them in front, and Colts were unlucky not to score again when a flowing move ended with an effort against the bar.
Woodbank started the second half looking the stronger team and quickly equalised.
Colts then fell behind, but they showed great character and hit back with a goal from Travis Livesey.
Play was end to end and Colts were unlucky to concede the late goal.
Travis Livesey just edged it for the player-of-the-match award.
- MANCHESTER YFC under 14s need a goalkeeper and two outfield players for their team in the Bury and Radcliffe Junior League.
Training is held on Thursdays at Plant Hill, and home games are on Sundays at Smedley playing fields.
Players must be in year nine at school.
