Centreville agree date at Bowlee

WITH no racing last weekend ABC Centreville members were able to catch up on their bike maintenance and start to plan the programmes and activities for next season.

The club held its AGM last Tuesday and all the officers were re-elected with the exception of secretary Rick Clough who stood down. Kath Hill replaces him.

After a lot of hard work a new date has been set for the postponed cyclo-cross event at Bowlee.

It will be on Saturday 18 December, start 11am, and all members are asked to be available from around 9.30am for course marking and marshalling duties.

The senior race starts at 1pm.

This weekend sees a double-header on the cyclo-cross circuit. On Saturday Liverpool host a race at Otterspool, with St Helens the organisers on Sunday.

Paul Whatmough is expected to race in both, while Frank Morris has entered the St Helens race.
