KINGS Arms extended their lead in the Middleton Men's Thursday League when they beat Wilton 6-1.

They are now five points clear of Joiners who beat Victoria four and a half to two and a half.

Boarshaw WMC moved within half a point of Joiners by beating Tonge Bowling Club 6-1.

Two teams are still without a win, but one of them, Oddfellows B, put up a good show before going down 4-3 at White Hart.

Catholic Club lost 6-1 for the fourth match in a row. This time the damage was inflicted by Cotton Tree.

Kings are also top of the Middleton Ladies League, but only by two points from Millbeck B.

Oddfellows enjoy a six-point advantage over White Hart at the top of Division Two.

Alex Prince (Joiners) has the best leg score of the season so far, a 17-darter. The highest three-arrow score of 152 has come from Tina Dyer of Millbeck A.
