Girls pick up rewards for great season

THE Rochdale Ladies team, which plays its home matches at Bowlee, received its rewards for an all-conquering season during a recent match at Rochdale FC's Spotland ground.

The girls, and manager Phil Pearson, were presented with the North West Women's League Division One trophy by Dale player Greg Heald.

Heald then presented various other awards which were:

Manager's player of season: Claire Pearson

Most improved player: Mel Burke

Leading scorer: Joanne Power

Players' player of season: Siobhan McElhinney
