Bumper crop for track and field stars

YOUNG track and field stars from Moston Harriers picked up a bumper crop of medals from an athletics meeting at Robin Park in Wigan.

Dale Platt and David Horniman clocked personal best times in the under 15 800m. Platt won gold in a time of 2 mins 19 secs, and Horniman took bronze in 2.23.

Platt won another gold in the 1,500m. He was closely followed by Dominic Abraham who collected bronze from one of his first track events.

Hannah Teat competed in a class field in the girls' under 15 section and her strong showing in the 1,500m earned her a gold medal.

Robert Hill timed 1.59 to win gold in the 600m for under 11s. Ben Benson took bronze at 75m and silver at 150m.
