BOARSHAW Working Men's Social Club hot-shot Arthur Ingham rounded off a superb night of darts at the Kings Arms.

He won the Middleton Men's Thursday League's in-house individual title with a dramatic last-gasp victory over Woodside WMC's Ian Slattery.

The two were locked together after five legs, 2-2 and a set game, but Ingham prevailed in the necessary sixth to take the coveted prize.

Ian Slattery had been involved in a close semi-final.

He beat Phil Benson (Oddfellows B) by the odd leg in five.

Ingham's last-four match was won a little more comfortably, 3-1 against Ivan Ramsden of Tonge Bowling Club.

The Middleton Monday League's gallon winners are Archer.

They finished seven points ahead of Cotton Tree.

The crib gallon title has been shared between Joiners and Lancashire Fold who both finished with 19 points.

Back on the oche, the best individual throw during the season came from Victoria's Tommy Rands, a 13-darter.
