THREE Middleton champions have received grants from Rochdale Council's Performance Link scheme which was previously known as the Champions Fund.
They were gymnasts Jake Seager and Theo Seager who were featured in last week's Guardian Sport, and Elizabeth Hall who swims for Manchester Aquatics and was a finalist in the 100m and 200m backstroke in the Northern Counties Championships.
The young stars received their grants from Shirley Waller of the Council's Leisure and Recretation office, and the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Sultan Ali.
