Flight night special for North West boxers

MOSTON'S Anthony Crolla was among a group of young amateur boxers from the North West who were given a "champion" send off as they flew to a tournament in Germany last weekend.
WBU world light-welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, who himself progressed through the ranks of the region's amateur clubs, and retains his affinity with them, was on hand to provide a knock-out boost for the team of six and the team officials and coaches.
The team was able to travel to the 13th international annual boxing tournament in Chemnitz thanks to sponsorship from Lufthansa.
