O’Connor leads AFC goal spree

AFC Manchester ran out comfortable 6-0 winners over Middleton Colts in a Bury and Radcliffe League under 13s match.

The first goal came inside two minutes. Osahon Osawe fed the speedy Callum O'Connor who raced 40 yards to score.

Middleton tried hard to get back into the game, but Manchester's hard working midfield of Murray, Foster, Buckley and Freakes blunted their attacks before they could become dangerous.

O'Connor sliced open the Middleton defence time after time, but the second goal came from Osawe who was put through by Freakes.

Two became three when Liam Murray hammered the ball home following the best move of the match.

The fourth came just before half-time when Barry Foster put O'Connor clear.

Manchester used their subs in the second half. The changes didn't really help Manchester's smooth flow, but no matter how Middleton tried they couldn't break down the strong Manchester defence.

O'Connor rounded the keeper to make it five and complete his hat-trick. Curtis Buckley outran Middleton defenders to end the scoring.
