RONNIE Hefferan goes for a national title on Saturday night, with the backing of a Middleton pub.
The Boarshaw ABC star has been sponsored by the New Inn, Long Street, for his schools showdown with last year's national champion David Varey.
Hefferan won a place in the final by scoring a great win over Clive Smith of Rotunda.
Hefferan will wear the colours of Boarshaw in Barnsley on Saturday, but he will also be representing the Hopwood Hall Boxing Academy.
