Terry-fic Rangers hit form

BLACKLEY Rangers returned to scoring form with a 6-3 defeat of Lamb Inn in the BASSA League.

Terry McManus scored twice in the first half to settle Rangers, and Dominic Studdley added a third.

Colin Jackson pulled one back for Lamb who were hit from a most unusual source early in the second half.

Rangers' keeper Adam Blage came out of goal and promptly scored two goals.

Studdley rounded off the scoring for Rangers after Pete Angerley had bagged a second consolation for Lamb.

Lamb kept pegging away and Kevin Moran made the scoreline more respectable.

Nelson and Priory were involved in a great tussle at Smedley Park. It took Priory 60 minutes to wear Nelson down. Brian Love found the net twice and Brian Adams claimed a third.

Priory Unicorn bagged a couple in their home match against Premier Autos, but it was Premier's day as they scored five.

Ostrich remain rooted to the bottom of the table following their 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Thatched House.

The BASSA inter-league team meets the Hyde Sunday League at Droylsden FC on Sunday, kick-off 10.30am.

The winners will go through to the final of the GM Inter-League knockout.

To mark Sunday's match the league has bought a new kit of red shorts, black shorts and black socks.
