MIDDLETON Juniors under nines were hustled out their stride by a competitive Moston Juniors' team but still won 4-1.
Unable to get their usual passing game going Middleton struggled to make an impact against a robust Moston defence. It was a long clearance from Adam Davies in goal that set up Dylan Walker to put Middleton 1-0 up.
The second period was no easier for Middleton. Declan Leach and Matthew Harris had to be on top of their game to keep Moston at bay. Ryan Marshall and Andy Mitchell found more space in midfield when Moston attacked.
They set up Adam Davies and Connor Wilson for one on one chances with the keeper and two cool finishes.
Despite the three-goal difference the game remained close in the final period. Moston scored first.
It was a long clearance again which put Dylan Walker clean through to make it 4-1.
Declan Leach was named player of the match.
