Corcoran leads the way to comfortable win

MOSTON Juniors B were comfortable 3-0 home winners over Failsworth Dynamo B. Moston played some nice attacking football in the early stages and took the lead when Joel Woods threaded a pass through for Sean Corcoran to score the first of his two goals.

The second half saw Failsworth on the attack but they were kept out by some great goalkeeping by Dylan Wolstenholme. Moston then hit Failsworth on the break and defender Reece Gardner scored. That was the end of the scoring but both Mark Campbell and Jack Neald went close. Player of the match for Moston was Adam Davies.

  • MOSTON Juniors A swept to a 9-0 win over Mable Athletic B. Player of the match Jordan Morris claimed a hat-trick. Other goals came from Jake Coe (2), Reece Evitt, Reece Reynolds, Dylan Walker and Andrew Mitchell. Callum Harkin gave a fine display in goal. Ryan Marshall and Harrison Jones did well in midfield.
  • JUNIORS' under sevens beat Hollinwood Athletic 4-1. They were soon on the attack. Joel Murray had a shot well saved but Josh Murray was on hand to fire home the rebound. Jack Dean rained shots on the Athletic goal in the second half but it was his strike partner Rabanne Murray who scored two excellent goals, the second direct from a corner. Athletic claimed a consolation goal.
