Towncroft “festival”

MIDDLETON Cricket Club's Towncroft ground will stage a festival of cricket in the next few days.

On Saturday England will meet Ireland in a ladies' international, start 10.30am. Admission will be £3 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens, and free for children.

On Sunday Middleton will meet Heywood in a semi-final of the Lees Bitter Wood Cup, start 1.30pm. Usual CLL Cup admission prices will apply.

On Tuesday Lancashire under 21s will meet Durham under 21s in a one-day match, and on Thursday Lancashire seconds will play Derbyshire seconds in a one-day match.

Admission will be free for both of the county matches.
