Tug of War pulls in the crowds

THE PULL of the national tug-of-war championships brought more than 500 out to take the strain in Middleton.
Bowlee playing fields hosted the Tug-Of-War Association's 45th National Championships last weekend. It was the first time since 1988 the sport's elite finals had been held in the region.
Seventy-six teams competed in a dozen categories.
