YEAR Nine basketball team
National basketball champions

A MOSTON school team has become national champions by winning the Year Nine basketball title.
St Matthews, Nuthurst Road, beat Watford's Parmiters School in the two-legged final.
On the way to the big one they had won a series of local and regional rounds.
The national title was the crowning glory in a remarkable season for the school. All five teams reached Greater Manchester finals.
