TEEING off for cash .. Martin Jeffs
Drive-in with appeal

PIKE Fold Golf Club captain Martin Jeffs is aiming to raise a substantial amount of money for the Robyn Brooks Appeal during his term of office.
Helped by his vice-captain Terry Watson, and the club council, the fundraising got underway when more than £100 was raised at the captain's drive-in and nine hole Texas scramble.
The winning team, with a tremendous score of 28.05 nett was Scott Brierley, Chris Hoyle, Steve Eva, Peter Pendlebury and Terry Crowley. Runners-up were Sean Gill, Denise Wright, Ken Shaw, Alan Rigby and Paul Higson.
Pike Fold played against Lobden Golf Club in the Mail on Sunday Golf Competition. Lobden emerged winners after an extra-hole play-off.
