KADIE Wood
Kadie signs for United
Julia Taylor29/ 1/2003
MOSTON Juniors had to let go of a superstar player who was signed by Manchester United - the under 10s girls' team that is.
Broadhurst Primary School pupil Kadie Wood was the first girl to play mainstream football for Moston and has now taken up a place at the Manchester United Academy.
Kadie, aged 10, has been playing for United since August, and her team has already won the league. Kadie trains twice a week and is a first team regular in the fortnightly matches.
Kadie said: "I've enjoyed it with United. In training I practice shooting, kick-ups, and dribbling. I'd like to carry on playing football. I support United and I'd like to play for the United women's team"
Moston coach Steve Hogan was sad to see Kadie go. He said: "Over the years we have lost a few players, but none will be missed as much as Kadie. Her vision, technique and attitude are fantastic and with the help of United her future in football will be massive."
Moston Juniors are looking for players, so if you'd like a place on the team call Colin on 0161 627 4197.
