Priory on the move

PRIORY are on the move again in the BASSA League.

After last week's win over top team Legs of Man they handed out a 4-0 thumping to second placed White Lion.

Legs of Man kept top spot with a 7-2 beating of Dover Castle.

Premier Autos are having a torrid time, with only one win this season. Their latest game saw them crash 3-0 to New Broom, but there were signs of improvement.

Beattie gave Broom an early lead. Joyce and Hinds scored the other goals in the second half.

Ashley Brook went two points clear of closest rivals Langworthy Lads in Division One.

Brook won 5-2 at Langworthy.

Taylors moved up to joint second place by beating Nelson in a superbly entertaining game.

Bates (2) and Scott struck for Nelson. Smith, Dean, Hesket, and Moore were on the mark for Taylors.

Harrison might well have earned a point for Nelson, but he missed a late penalty.

Blackley Rangers and Lamb Inn between them managed to hit the woodwork four times before McManus found the net to give Rangers a 2-0 win.

Kersal Celtic ran riot against Vine. Riding (3), Tennant (2), Warren, Davis, McClair, Hill, and Sheffield scored in a 10-0 win.

Ostrich have propped up the table all season, but they gave themselves an early Christmas present with a stunning 7-2 win over Priory Unicorn. It was their first win of the season, and their first points.
